This year’s online silent auction “Auction for Action” in support of the Ottawa Kosher Food Bank goes live on Sunday, May 4th at 8 a.m. and closes on Sunday, May 25th at 8 p.m.
We are thrilled by the generosity shown by both the Jewish and non-Jewish communities in Ottawa with their many unique and fun donations. Last year we raised over $18,000 and this year we hope to do even better. We have received over 500 items for the auction including two return business class airline tickets from Ottawa to Paris, France, artwork, gift certificates, jewellery and many children’s activities. We are pleased to let you know that the “Auction for Action Team” has had only positive interactions with the Ottawa community during our search for donations. Please support our donors.
Marketing is being done only in the Jewish community, however, feel free to share the auction information with your close friends and relatives in the broader Ottawa community. Please do not post on open social media sites. If in doubt, contact the Auction for Action coordinators at info.auctionforaction@gmail.com. You can view the items in the auction by going to www.32auctions.com/auctionforaction2025. To bid or participate you must register on the website which will require your name and email, and you will need to create a password. No credit card information is required. Payment for winning bids will be made by cheque or credit card upon pick-up or by cash, cheque or credit card if paid in advance of pick-up at the KBI office.
In-person viewings of the items will be held on Sunday, May 11th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 14th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Appointments must be made via the website, and the location will be shared at that time by email.
